Tour Description
Naples Tour: discover the most thrilling Italian city with us!
Nestled in a spectacular gulf between the sea and the Vesuvius, Naples is a truly volcanic metropolis that will overwhelm you with its beauty, charm, and authenticity.
In Naples, narrow and dark alleys lead to majestic baroque piazzas surrounded by monumental buildings, and in no time you walk from the hectic heart of the city to the lovely seaside, where you can see three gorgeous islands: Capri, Ischia, and Procida.
During our Naples tour, you’ll explore the most picturesque streets and squares in the city center.
You’ll see Spaccanapoli, via dei Tribunali, San Gregorio Armeno, Piazza del Gesù, Piazzetta Nilo, Piazza San Gaetano, and some of the most famous churches.
Your guide will lead you through Naples’ maze, created by many small streets and gorgeous piazzas, and you’ll learn about the history of this lovely city: the foundation by the Greeks, the Roman conquest, then the Normand, French and Spanish domination from the Middle Ages to the 1800s.
Let Naples’ energy seduce you with its legends, superstitions, dramatic stories, breathtaking views, and enchanted corners.
- The Sansevero Chapel
During your Naples tour, you will also visit the Sansevero Chapel, built by Prince Raimondo di Sangro.
This is a truly unique place: Raimondo was an eccentric alchemist, an intellectual and academic who secretly did experiments in the basement of his palace.
Right next to it, there’s the Sansevero Chapel, where many of his relatives were buried: the famous
Here, you can admire the most famous and moving statue in Naples: the veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino. The Chapel hosts also the mysterious “anatomical machines”, which the legend says are the result of Raimondo’s alchemical experiments and witcheries.
Naples is also a “delicious” city! This is where pizza, espresso, and many other Italian signature dishes have been invented! During your Naples tour your guide will take you to a nice cafeteria to try the local coffee and a “sfogliatella” – a legendary Neapolitan pastry.
At the end of your walk, your guide will happily recommend you some places where you can have the best pizza in town (which means, of course, one of the best pizzas in the world!).
Don’t miss the chance to discover this wonderful metropolis with an informative, entertaining guide, who will be happy to unveil the secrets of Naples just for you.
