The Founder
Meet our Founder, Giovanni Vergineo
I am a professional archaeologist and the founder of Italian ArtVentures Private Tours. Born in Benevento, I studied archaeology at the University of Salerno, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Archaeology, before completing a Postgraduate Specialization in Classical Archaeology in Rome.
I have worked on major archaeological excavations at sites such as the Roman Forum, Paestum, and Orvieto, gaining hands-on experience in some of Italy’s most important ancient locations.
Since 2012, I have been a licensed tour guide in Rome, combining academic expertise with storytelling to offer in-depth, engaging private tours. Through Italian ArtVentures, I share Italy’s history, art, and archaeology with travelers from around the world, going beyond the surface to reveal the stories that truly bring the past to life.
